ND Mike blackbetty61 twilliams John Belvedere HerbcoFood Can any of you show me an exact instance of the sideways? I think I found them on the What did every cook thread but I wasn’t to be sure and the more examples I have the better for them. They are doing what I thought they would and saying that top-down photos often have orientation problems BUT they are absolutely willing to look into it and I trust the NodeBB guys pretty much completely.

Jonathon I don’t have any issues with photos that I have loaded sideways. I also upload from my computer. It could be an issue from uploads from the phone only. The pic you uploaded yesterday with the hats, cutting board, etc. was sideways. I am not sure you meant it to be that way though.

Jonathon your photo did on the Member rewards thread. It was correct at first and then it somehow went sideways. Here is a screenshot.

I thought Jonathon was tipsy and that is why that pic was sideways

Okay, some information on this, last week someone made a change to the image upload settings in an attempt to downgrade the image size/quality as they were posting IF they were over 4 megs. It turns out that this was probably causing the sideways loading images. All I can tell you about this person who is responsible is they are bald and their last name DOES NOT begin with a T…

Also, they are looking at some upgrades to nodeBB to fix the downgrading quality/size of images in future updates which means in the next few updates we “SHOULD” be able to post a photo and not worry if it is too big, it will be automatically scaled down. If your image is already under the size limit, no changes would occur.

In the Podcast Austin brought up an idea. The post will be up later this morning and we are interested to see if people think that a section of Meatgistics for upgrade ideas and issue reporting would be useful? Respond in that post though not this one.
