bocephus Too easy to look the other way when someone is on the take. The policy implemented in 1921 made it clear, but clearly someone found the usual loop hole.

Watching that video reminded me of the series on Netflix called Rotten, I highly recommend watching it if you haven’t.

There doesn’t seem to be much info out there easily found about small farms who sell direct to consumers for whole, half, quarters. I’ve bought a side of beef in the past and have Family that does the same. It is possible to get quarts and smaller bundles too, direct from the farmer. Is this something that is just more predominate in the upper midwest?
