Chef ND Mike and others on this thread. All of this talk about Royal Crown Cola is taking me back to my childhood and visiting my grandparents every summer in Tennessee. They owned a little country road side store and there was a big old “RC and a Moon Pie” metal sign on the front of the store. Man I would love to have that sign today. Great memories.

GWG8541 Do you have any pictures of the store and in particular any that shows the sign?
Both of my grandparents has corner stores when I was growing up. My Mother’s parents had a small Italian store and my Dad’s parents just had more of a general grocery store, with a full service meat and deli counter.
Lots of fun times at both.

Chef I do not, but I may have some family that does. Ill reach out, since I would love to have a picture if one exists. The building was still standing the last time I visited.

That is soooo cool. Could you imagen turning that into a café and serving custom sausages? That would be a dream for me to be able to do something like that… Open for lunch only with a meal of the day. Open till it runs out. -

The only problem would be it is “in the sticks”! Another couple purchased the store from my grandparents when they had to retire. The last I heard is it was setting empty and being used for storage. My 1st cousin lives about a half a mile away. I believe he bought the old store counter from the current owners of the building. I have an old single shot 22 rifle, my grandfather bought for store security when my grandmother was there alone. The first rifle I ever shot. There is church directly across the street and a cemetery behind it with many family and friends buried there, including my grandparents. Its a beautiful part of our country.

ND Mike it holds alot of childhood memories for me and many in my moms side of the family. My cousin live down the road on the old family farm. He is a LEO also.
