Tex_77 If you’d be willing to pay twice the price, I could probably get you one in blue.

Yeah I agree, they’re spendy but. Here’s my dilemma. I’m on my third Food Saver model and that’s starting to sputter. Have their top one. Also bags are pricey and in short supply. Take the cost of the last three and I’m almost there. Besides, it would be handed down for many years to come. Didn’t know about any new ones but will be checking it out.

PapaSop Food Saver can kiss my baggage!! I have nothing good to say about them!
I would put my faith in the ARY VacMaster company.

Nicolai No you can not. You must buy bags specifically for Vacuum sealers.

kyle It will be similar to the VP215 and Weston Pro-2500. I would say that those machines and ours are all very similar with only slight differences and variances.

Austin Thanks. my Nesco is still working, so I can wait for your new ones to come in. I just wanted an idea so I can look at similar models to see if that is what I am looking for. After 2 foodsavers and now on my third (nesco this time), my next one will be a chamber one.

Those of you wanting to know whether or not regular vacuum sealer bags will work in the chamber sealers, the answer is yes. I tried it tonight on my new VP215. I used a bag designed for my Foodsaver and filled it, put in the new sealer. Wow, why have I been messing with the Foodsaver. At first I thought it wasn’t working because the bag doesn’t suck flat like the external machines, but when it goes to seal, the air is gone and sealed perfect. Just wanted to test to see if I could use either bag and use up the rolls I have.

johnsbrewhouse Yeah, either will work in the chambered machines but the chamberless bags are more expensive since they have to be printed with texture so I would recommend using the smooth bags since they are less expensive.

Jonathon Just wanted to check, I have quite a few non chamber bags by the roll. I just can’t believe why I waited so long to pull the trigger to buy one of these. (of course the price probably didn’t help). I’ll just leave the Foodsaver for making bags right now, then give it to one of my kids.

johnsbrewhouse Yeah, the initial cost is the main barrier for most people to purchasing a chambered machine. Once someone has made the switch they are almost always happy with it as it is capable of removing more of the air and it does liquid a lot better. I always try to tell people that depending on how often they are going to seal the price difference between a chamberless machine (food saver type)and a chambered machine can be recouped fairly quickly with the cost savings on the bags. This is because the bags are smooth on both sides and are easier to manufacture.

Jonathon That and after you buy multiple external machines after they wear out, that prices comes to add up significantly in the long run. I was on my fourth Foodsaver machine and I didn’t buy the cheapest model either. Plus with cutting primals and wrapping my own meats at home, I end up doubling the work, so that I would not pull liquids when sealing.

I rolled the dice on a ebay vac chamber sealer it works just fine probably better than a 1000 bags through it changed oil after first 100 bags, going strong, at $400

I did not. Waiting to see what Walton’s sealer looks like, and the price point. I’m sure Jonathon will put it through it’s paces and then go from there.

Definitely getting one. Would love to have it come from Walton’s. Everything I’ve bought from them has been outstanding. Quality all the way.

Guess I upgraded to Walton’s from what I had. Been doing this for some time but finding this place changed everything. Equipment and supplies are top notch. Plus the knowledge shared is incredible.

BTW. Get rid of that blue tag and do the right thing… Team-Orange 😉 👍
