Need some input on a new stuffer, I had a 20lb from cabelas that is getting returned. I am a one man band so trying to find something with a motor. Waltons 26lb electric is out of stock.

detter22 The 11 lb is the way to go if you are by yourself! We already talked about this and my opinion is well known on this subject but I thought I’d put it here in case anyone else was wondering.

Jonathon I would just make sure you get a really good one with tough gears and a good gasket system with air eliminator if you are going to make snack sticks as they require a lot of pressure to make the smaller diameter sticks.

I clamp my 11 lb vertical to the counter top with small trigger clamps and I can do 3 ft. of jerky at a time by myself
With sausage or snack sticks I just curl around and keep going

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day
Teach a man to fish and he drinks beer for a lifetime

detter22 It is going to be a little while but I can almost guarantee (NOTHING is guaranteed in 2020!) that these will be on sale for our Thanks Black Monday Sale, which this year will be from November 23rd-November 30th. It will be 3 stages, 1st starts on the 23rd and goes through the 30th, the 2nd starts on black Friday and goes to the 30th and the last will be just on the 30th. I realize that might be too far off.

I will be there to see what great Waltons stuff will be on sale. I am hoping to stock up on seasonings and a bit of other equipment.

detter22 That should work pretty well actually. I’d consider backing it off by about 10% of the seasoning per lb of meat to deal with the salt. I might be wrong here but I’d be concerned that it would be a little too salty if you go 100%

Jonathon thanks for the heads up I’m glad you said something when I make the philly chicken brats I learn I need to increase my seasonings for 22 pounds of meat and 30 lbs of seasoning. Chickens a crazy bird!
