Just in time for the long weekend. I did a Jalapeño vodka for Bloody Mary’s and a Lemon Vodka for Spiked lemonade and Moscow Mules.

lkrfletcher sounds great. I need to do this when smoking brisket or butts. They smoke for 8 to 12 hours, might need to get a few bottles LOL

Just remember to peel lemons - must have zero pith, otherwise you don’t get a true lemon taste. I am going to try Cherry and Orange next.

Interesting. I’ve done infused vodka (and tequila), but I never done it with the sous vide. I just let it sit.

lkrfletcher And to let you know how I process things, I thought you drink the vodka while using the sous vide, hence the comment on smoking meats. LOL need more coffee

I have seen this approach before on some other websites for making flavored liquors. Can you elaborate a little more on your process?

Jalepeno vodka - just add 8 halved jalepenos into a fifth of vodka vacuum seal and sous vide. If you want it hot leave seeds in.
Lemon vodka. Peel 10 lemons remove all pith. Put peels into a bag with a fifth of vodka and sous vide.
When done cool. Strain and pour back into bottles.

Joe Hell Yep, after I proved it to my bud who waited weeks for the infusion to take place. He has become “passionable” with doing infusions for his wife. She no longer has to wait weeks for them to appear on her counter any longer. WIN!
