Amazingly, price on Jalapeno popper Brats have gone down, maybe temporarily, maybe full time but if you havent tried this sausage, and you like jalapeno flavored sausage you gotta try this one. It has real potential to be a top 5 selling sausage seasoning for us.

Jonathon Austin I noticed on the Jalepeno Popper Brat Seasoning bag that it suggests adding either high temp mozzarella or shredded cheese, have you tested them using shredded cheese?

Tex_77 Haven’t done shredded cheese. I never do shredded cheese because of the consistency it turns out to be in the sausage. Always high temp. Might have to give it one last go now though.

Austin Shredded cheese also has corn starch on it so it stay separated in the bag. Wonder if that would have a negative effect on the sausage?

HerbcoFood the levels of cornstarch that are in there probably won’t affect anything. If there was enough cornstarch it maybe would act kind of like a binder, or thickening agent, but probably not very well, and only if levels were a lot higher than what is on the shredded cheese. The worst shredded cheese would probably do is just grease out and melt out or at least move towards the outside of the casing.
