UPS delivered this to me today. Thanks to Walton’s for the fine cutting board! I wasn’t sure what it was going to look like when I saw the box and the packaging inside, but was pleasantly surprised there was no damage. UPS seems to hate Walton boxes because this is how they end up when I get them.IMG_0309.JPG IMG_0307.JPG IMG_0308.JPG

My knife arrived from Walton’s in an enormous box that was almost big enough to contain a grinder. lol
Kind of got my hopes up there for a while.
Still more than happy with the knife. They are really good quality.

twilliams That’s one of the better one’s, at least they taped it back shut. I swear they must drop them off at the zoo first to the gorilla cage, then put them on the truck. It reminds me of an old Samsonite luggage commercial for those of you old enough to remember.

processhead The cutting board was in a large box too. The fulfillment people in Walton’s warehouse usually pack the boxes pretty good. There was no packing material in the box and the inside box the cutting board was in was damaged as well, which leads me to believe everything came out of the box and UPS just shoved the cutting board back in and sealed the box back up with clear packing tape. Most of the Walton’s packages I get via UPS are mashed, have holes and the tape seals are broken.

bocephus it did pretty much, had some very minor scrapes, but they will clean up with some fine sanding and oiling.

calldoctoday Like I said it seems only to be Walton’s packages that seems to get beat up so bad, just wondering if someone who loading trucks at one of the UPS hubs has it out for them. The board is nice, I’ll use it for presentations rather than cutting, I’ll save the poly boards for the dirty work.
