@dennyo Lund boats are hard to beat, grew up about 70 miles from where there are built, I have been to the factory. My brother in law used to sell them until he sold out and retired, I should have bought one when he was still in business but was just not ready yet.

bocephus Yep, you just cost yourself some cash there!
cdavis Charlie, thank you! If it weren’t for a small amount of dock rash on both sides, I’d have to put it up on blocks in a barn somewhere and throw a tarp over her for another 30 years, call it an investment.

@dennyo my dream is to buy the Ranger Angler 1880MS. At $55,000 for the bare boat and motor I’m seeing those dreams slip by faster and faster. Since I just ordered a new truck, buying momma a new jeep in a couple years and wanting to build an elderly accessible home and have it paid off by the time I retire in 20 years is a very tall task. Not to mention life can change in a blink of an eye. Let’s hope it’s a good change and I win the power ball tonight!!!

@dennyo I just learned today that they draw 3 times a week for power ball now. I haven’t bought a ticket or followed it in forever

@dennyo Well I didn’t win because I didn’t get a chance to get a ticket since the truck batteries went dead and I had to charge them. Time for a trip to get new ones tomorrow, guess 9 years was pushing it with the cold snap. Got to love AGM batteries though, long lasting in my diesel.

AGM lasting 9 years Whoo Hoo! I got 4 Interstate AGM’s in my boat! That will be an expensive replacement in a few more years, ugg and an, uff-dah!
Got a Dirty Max Deesillfiter too. I replaced my 2 wet cell batteries maybe after 6 to 7 years. She will be 10 year old on Valentines Day!

@dennyo 2010 Duramax figure the batteries will be probably close to $250 apiece, I need to get my TPMS sensors replaced too in the tires. I might have it done all at one time, fortunately I get discounts on parts since we buy fleet parts. I let other people get their hands dirty with the tires and batteries.

johnsbrewhouse My AGM Interstates 31 series I believe are 350 ish each. Like I said when I have to replace 4 of them in the boat, ouch!

twilliams With the waters I go to it is the ability to cut through the rough waters. Lake of the Woods, Oahe, Truman, Lake Erie and others. I’ve had several rides in 4-1/2 footers, it ain’t fun.

@dennyo I have not bought any for awhile, but it would not surprise me. Thought I was going to get out early and get them and got surprised with freezing rain and ice, so I’ll have to wait until the temps warm a bit till I can get up my driveway since it’s all uphill and an empty one ton just doesn’t grip ice real well even with 4wd.

cdavis My brother live down there in Ovilla, south of Dallas, says it was in the high 20’s and that was about it for winter so far. I can deal with the snow, but the ice sucks with the truck, I can’t get enough weight on the rear end to keep traction, take about 1,500 lbs. over the rear axle to get a grip on ice with the traction tires even. Glad it’s gone now, warmed up to 41 degrees and rain. Normal weather for the NW.
