Post of the Week?

Charlie, I had NO Idea that this throw down was going on! I’m embarrassed to be involved in to it.
I’m a hit and miss on this forum, so please cast for an other fish that swims closer. -

By the way what kind of boat did you get. Bass boat pontoon ski or ? . Post a picture then keep us up to date on the progress.

Hey you make a good looking product you deserve recognition. It only good for a week though. Then someone else gets it.

I found 2 boats that were near identical, one in Green Bay WI and the other here in Des Moines IA. Both are 8 years newer than my old 1999 Lund 1950 Grand Sport. Both are 2007 Lund 1950 Tyee with the same motors and kicker motors. Everything is the same except, one had jump seats in the back rear corners (Grand Sport) and the other one did not (Magnum). I had called Green Bay on a Fri and was told it was contractually sold on the night before. So I bought the one that was close to home here, the Magnum. To my surprise the boat doesn’t even have enough hours on the main motor to even say it is broke in yet! 43.5 hours on it, 50 is considered broke in. The previous owner bought it before retiring but then took sick. He passed away and the widow hadn’t dealt with it until a couple of years later. Well lookie what I found!

@dennyo I miss my boat terribly, had 17.5’ G3 Angler deep V with a Yamaha 150 four stroke and Yamaha 9.9 four stroke kicker bought brand new. Desperate for cash I sold it for $14,000 and they are selling them now for $50,000 plus.

twilliams I’m with ya there! I’ve always been around a boat since I was 4 years old I believe, I’m 67 now. I joke that I could be divorced and the wife would leave the house but the boat would still be in the drive, by the way, there is no chance of a divorce.

@dennyo Lund boats are hard to beat, grew up about 70 miles from where there are built, I have been to the factory. My brother in law used to sell them until he sold out and retired, I should have bought one when he was still in business but was just not ready yet.

@dennyo my dream is to buy the Ranger Angler 1880MS. At $55,000 for the bare boat and motor I’m seeing those dreams slip by faster and faster. Since I just ordered a new truck, buying momma a new jeep in a couple years and wanting to build an elderly accessible home and have it paid off by the time I retire in 20 years is a very tall task. Not to mention life can change in a blink of an eye. Let’s hope it’s a good change and I win the power ball tonight!!!
-
Power ball drawing is tonight??? Man I missed my chance to a fortune once a gain!
Ranger 22ft with a 350 or 400, oh ya baby!

@dennyo I just learned today that they draw 3 times a week for power ball now. I haven’t bought a ticket or followed it in forever

@dennyo Well I didn’t win because I didn’t get a chance to get a ticket since the truck batteries went dead and I had to charge them. Time for a trip to get new ones tomorrow, guess 9 years was pushing it with the cold snap. Got to love AGM batteries though, long lasting in my diesel.
-
AGM lasting 9 years Whoo Hoo! I got 4 Interstate AGM’s in my boat! That will be an expensive replacement in a few more years, ugg and an, uff-dah!
Got a Dirty Max Deesillfiter too. I replaced my 2 wet cell batteries maybe after 6 to 7 years. She will be 10 year old on Valentines Day! -

I might have it done all at one time, fortunately I get discounts on parts since we buy fleet parts. I let other people get their hands dirty with the tires and batteries.

@dennyo Are you donating that boat to the next Post of the Week winner? lol. I bet that would be a boost to the number of posts.
