Happy Father's Day 2021

Chef Thanks, today is bittersweet. It the first Father’s Day since my Dad passed last August. I miss him every day, but today is a hard one in that regard. I am lucky enough to spend the day with my wife, one of my sons, and my wifes parents. Take advantage of every moment given to you with your loved ones. Happy Father’s Day to all you dads.
GWG8541 I know what you mean. While it’s been years, I miss my father and grandfather very much. Taught me so many things. When I’m doing some project, I often remember the time one of the two of them taught me that skill.
Take advantage of the time we do get to share.

My dad could have been and should have been an Admiral, seems he was getting promoted a lot LOL!

@dennyo Those were men of Honor. Maybe if we had taught our children more history and what sacrifices were made to keep our freedom and our country strong, we wouldn’t be having near the issues we are having in our country.

My dad could have been and should have been an Admiral, seems he was getting promoted a lot LOL!

I say that because the most I could get out of my Dad about his time in the Navy during WW11 was a conversation between Dad and his captain was “Affield, I don’ts likes ya attitude! To the Brig Ya go!”
As many times as he was demoted it seems he was promoted. He drove the Cap-e-tians personal boat and seems to have been his favorite.Anyway, that is about as much as I could ever get out of him with a couple of other stories while driving a LCM in the Navy.

And my other daughter and 3 grand babies got me another tshirt that says “reel cool grandpa” with a fish on it.
