julian Jonathon long live the down vote! Somedays i just feel I need to hand them out like candy on Halloween!
HAHAHAHA!!! I will stand clear of your candies since an unjustified downvote would crush my big soft heart.

It would maybe be nice to see who down voted, person could ask why? I don’t want it to turn into a bad thing top such a great site.

Anomaly? Not sure. Logged in today, 43 unread in less than 24 hours. Unreal!

Austin Was this part of your vision?PapaSop Yes. I can’t say that I knew 100% how things would evolve, but the goal was and is to grow to a point where there is constant activity, new topics, responses, etc. I want to see it where we have hundreds of new topics a day, and thousands of replies and responses. There are ways to control which categories and topics you receive notifications on and for only certain things to popup into your Unread section, so the goal here is to make things popular enough to fill anyone’s feed daily with tons of new content but allow it to be custom-tailored to just what a user specifically is more interested in. This platform (NodeBB) that we are using was definitely a lot more than we needed at the start, but we have and continue to grow into it, and add new features of our own, and it has the capability of supporting an even much bigger engagement rate than we have now. What we have could scale to support exponentially more than we do now, and the goal is to continue to grow to make it a larger platform while still providing a small feel and tailored content to everyone.
Maybe we will do a recurring podcast segment on where we are headed, what’s coming up, and where we see the road leading further down the line. -

Austin Your statement below made me laugh out loud. You know for a fact that we all have major FOMO. We would miss the banter, the laughs, the suggestions for adult beverages. I have to read every subject (not every comment). BUT this beats watching TV

I like the down vote but maybe have an “are you sure” check button. I’ve hit it a couple times because of the way I scroll.

Ok. So. Had to look. Only down votes were team orange/blue related.

That’s now moved on.
Doesn’t matter to me. How can you down vote someone’s meat success or failure? It’s why we’re here… To share and learn!
-
Wait you guys can’t see who upvotes and downvotes, o just the downvote. Tex_77 I’m on your side with this one but it does feel like popular opinion is against us.
Jonathon I think we can keep the downvote, but make it a two step process. I find I downvote when I scroll with my phone, most of the time by mistake. I did use it months ago on you when this subject came up. I dont mind telling people I dont agree with them, I just dont like when I downvoted a good or sometimes great post. If this is a vote, I vote for a 2 step process…there, I’m done now
