Tex_77 Yes, we aren’t getting those but we are getting new ones that will actually measure by the fractions of the grams. Sorry guys, I’ve got jerky in the smoker and was/am working on those nitrite free jerky and other snacks too so I am a bit …spacey!?

Jonathon I use digital scales to measure out booze in my drinks because I’m geeky that way. 125 ml vodka to 355 ml soda water…I make big drinks.

Joe Hell I remember when I found the white carb free monsters and discovered 4 shots of tito’s was hardly noticable in them…that led to a few less than productive weekends!

I’m just measuring out seasoning’s with this. I have a larger digital for heavier uses. The one sausage I made back in January I needed to break down the seasoning from a 50# batch to 5# which required fractions. Couldn’t do it with my current one that only weighed .5 gram or .5oz increments.

Looks like the ARTI weighs by the gram or 1/10th of an oz
The VERA can weigh fractions of grams up to 500 grams
I am thinking about the VERA

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day
Teach a man to fish and he drinks beer for a lifetime

Yeah, that’s the big advantage of that scale, up to 500 grams (17 oz) it weighs by the 1/10th of the gram and it seems really accurate. We are going to try to do some smaller batches with sodium erythorbate with this scale.
