So when you make and break 9 batches of Peanut Brittle, you have a nice amount of crumbs. We ussually keep them and sprinkle then on ice cream.

I had a thought, which can be dangerous at times. Why not use the crumbs in an Old Fashioned instead if sugar. After all, the crumbs are basically caramelized sugar with peanut essence.

We have a great historical park in town called Carrillon Park. They have a brewery constructed to make beer the old way as part of the parks living history and education. Last night the wife and I had dinner there and had a few beers, before walking the 65 acre park to look at Christmas lights. I had their Spruce Ale seasonal and man was it good. I forget the exact ABV, but it was about 8 to 9 %. It was brewed with real Spruce tips. I did not take pics of the beer I drank, but did take a few inside while they were brewing a Wit Beir. The big kid working in the white shirt is our youngest son.

ND Mike he seems to really like it. Its a cool place, the guy who runs the park has done a great job building it up and keeping our regional history alive.

Well I’ll be drinking a lot of bourbon around my wife’s and I’s new fire pit. It will see alot of cooking action too! It would have today as well, but sub freezing windchills changed that plan.

GWG8541 It’s not a terrible drink, but for me just one or two after a meal then I need the real brown water.

HerbcoFood jogged my memory and I pulled this out of the basement tonight. Great over ice, but has to be sipped or its an early night. Only 50 proof, but goes down like cool-aid.

HerbcoFood jogged my memory and I pulled this out of the basement tonight. Great over ice, but has to be sipped or its an early night. Only 50 proof, but goes down like cool-aid.

HerbcoFood very sweet. More like a mixed drink. Over crushed ice it is dangerous
