PapaSop If you happen to ‘lose’ a case of that to breakage I should be able to cheer you up with a significant amount of meaty provisions…or something. It’s a write off!

@dennyo There are many people on either side of boat regarding alcoholic beverages. Some I know will only drink one type or maker of beer, liquor and wine. I feel sorry for them. But, they’re doing “YOU”. Me on the other hand will try just about anything at any time. That’s what makes the world go round. For whatever reason, whiskey and eating don’t match up with me. Would rather have an appropriate wine for the offering with beer taking a distant second. Then, the gloves come off. Could be in the mood for a good cup of coffee, B&B or any other type of beverage. Yep, all people are different and that’s OK. Keep on doing “YOU” because it just works.

zbigjeff I don’t understand your comment,

What do you mean, “doing “YOU””?@dennyo It’s from a commercial I heard. It was a play on You doing “YOU”. It allllll gooooood. Just keep having fun. Will be away for a week of fun, different bourbons/whiskeys in Houston and Dallas playing cards at night and hitting a little white ball with a group of 5 other childhood buds during the day.
-
Ok, have fun. Guess I don’t remember the commercial. btw, Love the card games!

I’ve been drinking a mixed 12 from Prarie Artisan Ales, 3 different sours, very good easy drinking beers that have a kick!
-
scotch on the rocks, mostly highlands not a fan of peat, good bourbon and some ryes now and again. hate most IPAs but beer is a great river snack
Hosshess I made a really nice brat today using a local ‘smoked ale’ from Water Buffalo Brewery with Walla Walla Sweet Onions, caraway, thyme, mustard seed and the spent ‘smoked bacon’ pepper leavings after slicing several slabs of bacon on the slicer. It’s a great way to use all those bits and pieces left over after slicing!

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.
Tex_77 I am not happy with either of these ones. The Bulliet tastes like my basement smells…old and musty. The Dead Guy reminds me of a ‘white’ whiskey due to their barrel aging process. The barrels are ‘aged’ in the ocean which due to it’s low and constant temperature and lack of oxygen permeation of the barrel they have essentially preserved rather than aged this whiskey.
