Made some snack sticks this weekend 10lbs habanero bbq and 10lbs of dill pickle. The dill pickle is different not sure if I’ll do that flavor again maybe I’ll do what Joe Hell did with some nuts…but the habenero might just have made my go to list I really like the sweet and spice with this seasoning forgot to take pics of dill pickle

blackbetty61 Great pics and content! The Habanero BBQ is one of my favorite snack sticks and it is my favorite summer sausage! A nice balance of sweet and heat there that adding cheese to can make even better. Joe Hell used Gigawatt I thought on the almonds but oooohhhh do I like the idea of doing it with Dill Pickle and now I have an oven here, I am buying some almonds and doing this tomorrow here!

Jonathon The Dill Pickle flavoring is what inspired me on the Almonds after seeing some dill pickle sunflower seeds at the store. I have Habanero Lime, Garlic & Pepper and Bloody Mary seasonings arriving tomorrow. All of which sound amazing on both jerky and nuts or seeds.

Jonathon can’t wait to hear how they are…I was also thinking of adding some of the dill pickle to some burger for dill pickle burgers or to sour cream for chip dip

blackbetty61 I can say from experience that Dill Pickle in burgers is delicious, and what makes it even odder that I like it is that I dont like pickles on my burgers. I am a strange eater sometimes! So far, the only thing I have found that I don’t like better with the Dill Pickle is chicken, for some reason they dont seem to go together!

Jonathon One of my favorite toppings on my burger is pickles. Both sweet relish and dill chips. There is a drive-in burger joint in Walla Walla called ‘the Ice Burg’ that is a local institution. You can find a similar burger at any mom and pop burger place but what sets them apart is the sweet pickle relish. Damn it I miss a good burger. Only 14 more lbs to go!

Jonathon That’s generally the first thing people ask when I talk about it although I didn’t necessarily feel bad about anything other than myself. It was the struggling to complete normal tasks that was tough to deal with. I’ve been in pain for years and it isn’t getting better. The pain just reminds me that I’m still alive I guess. lol
