So, we occasionally get samples sent to us at Walton’s to see if we want to carry a new seasoning. In the past we have carried lots of these, in recent years we have made some changes are carrying less of these types of seasonings. However, even though we don’t carry them every once in a while one comes across that piques my interest in some way and that happened the other day.

Steak Princess BBQ is a seasoning business run by a 15 year old girl named Karen. They have great art work and quality seasoning as well. I am/was impressed with it and while it doesn’t fit our business model if anyone is interested her website is www.steakprincessbbq.com and it looks like you can purchase directly from the website.

I emailed her telling her we aren’t going to be carrying her seasonings but I also told her that I was creating this post, so maybe she will join and give a little bit more of her back story. Im curious as to how a 15 year old got interested in and then started a business around Steak and BBQ seasonings!

Tex_77 we have got to settle this but you’re the one making the ridiculous rules about what seasoning we can use! It’d take me months of steals to find a suitable replacement that I think is as tasty and in the end it would be the same flavor profile!

Jonathon I is always good to hear about young folks trying to make an effort, just about any effort, vs expecting everything to be handed to them & playing video games. Pardon the rant. This type of thing is great, even if the seasoning is not perfect, the effort really says a lot!

Ok, so. Just placed an order. When seeing something called, " Beauty and the Beef", how could you not.

Here’s the issue Jon, I’m seeing a girl named Rylee. Not sure who Karen is, unless it’s the author of this post. 😉

Actually, can’t wait to try these. For a young person so focused at that age is heart warming. Hopefully they can stop by our way and give us some insight. Always glad to help out our youth.
                      Thanks for sharing Jonathon .

Hey y’all. I’m Rylee and I am known as the Steak Princess. Karen is actually my mom. We had to put her name on the business with me only being 15 we didn’t want it to hurt my chances of scholarships down the road when I go to college. First I would like to say thank y’all so much for the support that yall have already given me. We have already shipped out several orders today. I have been cooking competition since I was 11. I created all 4 of my rubs myself from just mixing different things together until I came up with combos that I thought would enhance the meat and people would enjoy. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I would love to be a part of your podcast one day. Thank you so much for your support.

Steak Princess welcome to the community. First off, congrats on your business. Thanks for joining us here on meatgistics, its a really fun place where people are willing to share knowledge and help each other out as much as possible. We also like to have fun and talk smack to each other all in good fun. I was very impressed with how quick you respond to orders, before I was done looking at your website, I got an email saying my order was on the way. With that kind of service, you will give Waltons a run for their money someday. I am glad Jonathon put a link up to your site. Good luck and hope to see you around on this great site

hey vegetarians, my food poops on your food!

@gwg8541Talented: Isn’t this the Team with the team leader that edited his livestream to not show the jarred sauce he really used instead of homemade sauce?

bocephus but he has a whole team of true blue people picking him up. Are you sure the jar wasn’t one of these?
