Went out to the Chandeluer Islands this past weekend for 2 days of fishing. It was an epic of an adventure as everyone says it is. As a boat of 9 we brought home 212 trout, 7 red fish, 4 black drum and 4 flounder. I also caught my biggest red fish to date. These pics are from the Saturday evening fish, needless to say us 4 were in the X!
Then some fish got caught at night at the boat…

That looks like a BLAST! Good times & Gooder Memories. I have not been to the Chandeluers or Grand Isle in ages, makes me start getting heartsick for another trip. Glad you had a great trip. You should have topped it all off with a trip to the Lumps & then you would have had a double grand slam. -

Took my 9 year old neighbor boy aka fishing buddy, on the Missouri River yesterday. We typically go on Friday, but he was busy with other activities, so a Saturday trip was planned. We kept 24 and he caught 4 of the 5 bigger fish and the best one was 6.25#. This kid is ready to go at 6:30am would spend all day in the boat. He was shaking from excitement after catching the bigger fish, trying to beat his record of 6.5#. -

I do a yearly fishing tournament through a local professional association I’m a member of, it’s really for fun and to get see people I don’t see often. They have different categories to turn fish in on to win some money. The fishing was absolutely horrible yesterday, I was the only person to turn in a slot red. So guess who got the checks for 1st, 2nd and 3rd……ME! Who would have thought a barely 3lb red was worth that much money!

I remember one year on LOW walleye tourney, 80 entries on the last day and every one book out because of inclement weather incomming, we stayed and fished, that was a 123 for us too! -
