Tex_77 IMG_1114.jpg IMG_1115.jpg Liver and onions done with chicken on the run and a dandelion salad. My wife accused me of eating the lawn! Very tasty though!

Bob Stehlik no adopting until I can get my own out of my house. My youngest son likes cooking and unfortunately for my belly, he is just about as good as the old man. Not quite, but just about. 😁
The wife and I both worked today and he was off, so he said he would cook dinner. He baked a yard bird in the CI and used carrots to keep most of the bottom out of the juices to help crisp up the bottom. He made a compound butter and put it under the breast skin and also made his own stuffing. Chip off the old block.

Round two, this time the Legandary Northwoods Seasoning. I do like the Northwoods better but it’s definitely not by a huge margin. It just has a bit more salt, pepper and flavor profile to take it to the next level.2780D766-5F22-46A5-960D-4038BA658A10.jpeg

What to do when a dreary day that included snow flakes to fly. Cold smoked a pork tenderloin for 4 hrs. Then, sous vide it at 130 for 2.5 hours. Came out tasty.

JoeB I just keep laughing at myself. The hip replacement has turned out to be a success. But, the right knee is all studded with arthritis and I really over used the right leg during the recovery. Thus, it has been an issue. I just keep putting a brace on that knee and get on with life. About 3 times a week I adjust the pain with a dram or 2 of a good whiskey or bourbon. 🙂 Glad to hear that “you’re just busy”. Have a good rest of your day.

When the wind is blowing 50mph+ sometimes you have to just grill inside!

Tex_77 sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet. We had some crazy winds up this way recently, I just watch as mother nature creates me some extra chainsaw work.

gus4416 glen kyle thx! I will tell you, these relatives were all my wife’s family, so this was a HUGE WIN for me! They were all raving about how awesome it was she got homemade meat products etc. So now she is all in favor of all the equipment and supplies I have laying around hehe! She was even bragging on my new smoker after they all loved the salmon, but last week that smoker was a “questionable purchase” lol.

So… if the In Laws are coming over, it pays to showcase that meat equipment!! 😉
