Austin shall pay for that one…eventually. I have been giving him bagels every Friday so he becomes accustomed to eating them, one day I plan on stopping that and he will be annoyed on a Friday and not know why! Ruin his entire weekend.

Serious points to anyone who could possibly get that very obscure reference. In fact, if you can get it and chat me the response I will get you a coupon for 10% off your next order!

mrobisr No, it is actually bagels but that was an incredible “pull” as well. I loved almost all the Jim and Dwight things.

Jonathon I don’t know, someone recently posted that they received a blue hat and then joined team blue, Austin might want to check the inventory of blue hats.😂

Is there any update on Walton’s #22 knives? I just learned in a diff thread i should be pairing a knife with each plate, so need to order 3 more knives, since I bought a few plates.

Heck, for that matter it was hard for me to find a good stainless 6mm and 7mm #22 plate, and now I want a 3mm… my grinder only came with 4.5 and 10mm. Does Walton’s sell these, if not then who does? Jonathan seems to indicate #22 parts soon or something?
                Thx

Correct me if I am wrong here, but isn’t the Value-hard knife considered a disposable knife and not really intended for resharpening?
Listed under it’s features, it says “Can’t be resharpened”

The Everlasting knife can be resharpened.

Thx Tex_77 and #Processhead . Apparently the everlasting knife had a spindle change and doesn’t fit on the 0.51 in #22 grinder spindle anymore. There is a thread where a couple were replaced in Jan for this, and Jonathan said hold off buying spare knives as Waltons had something coming early 2022. So was checking if something new and super was here.

That #22 3mm plate looks a lot thinner than all my others, hope it all stacks up right and no tolerance issues. Reviews are all good though.

I will plan on stainless knives so the wear with plates are even.

Dave in AZ You are correct the everlasting did change and does NOT fit the Walton’s #22 grinder. Here is a pic of the 10mm plate and 3mm plate they are so close in thickness that I’ll call the same at this point. I bought the value hard knifes to pair with my plates and am very happy at this point. 20220316_213844.jpg

mrobisr thx so much for the pic, makes me feel better about my purchase! Someone posted that Sure Gel was back in stock today, so I ordered it plus that 3mm plate. I got the stainless knives they had, 2 more of them.

Then I just grabbed this and that additives, some were very good prices. Dextrose, some phosphate as I’m making some Canadian bacon, casings… decided to just put my business to Walton’s due to the great effort they’ve put forth here, even if this or that might be found cheaper on Amazon.

glen I did try it on the Pro-Cut #22 we have in the test kitchen and it does work on that still. It’s slightly tighter but still fits on. Our purchasing department is in discussion with them now, they are claiming no changes so I took our calipers and took pics of the old ones and the new ones showing them that something did, in fact change. However, we are not who they manufacturer those for, and the Walton’s #22 Grinder isn’t the one that we sell the most of those knives for, so i don’t imagine we are going to be able to have them switch it back.

In all honesty, I have been told by people here (who are more experienced than I) that the Grinder Value Hard Knife will work just as well as the everlasting. I am stubborn though so I have removed all the Everlasting #22 knives from my arsenal since people won’t be able to use them in the future and replaced them with the Value Hard Knife. Once I grind a ton of product through it I can comment on whether I think it cuts just as well. There may be a reason coming out in 2022 that this wont be as big of a deal anyway…and that ladies and gentlemen is called a tease!
