I found this Hobart 18 inch buffalo chopper today at an estate sale in a nearby town.
It came with all the important accessories including a #12 grinder and a “pelican” vegetable shredder, which I will probably try to find a new home for.
Chopper blades were in good shape and the grinder came with a 3/16 inch plate and a brand new Zico grinder knife.The drive unit looks like it had been sitting unused for a long time. When I plugged it in at the guys garage it just hummed. After getting it home and looking it over, I plugged it in to a dedicated 20 amp outlet in my shop. It started right up and ran as it should. The amp draw while it was running was under the name plate rating, so that’s a good sign.
Looks like all it will need is a good cleaning and I look forward to trying out the bowl chopper.I also bought a small Enterprise cast iron stuffer which you can see in the background of the top photo. A project for another day.

processhead How much? I need to move up to your neck of the woods. I have searched for years within miles of here & even on the extremely rare occasion that I do find something, it is way over priced. Great Finds!

I feel very fortunate to have paid $600 for it. As you said, most of them go for much more.
