Gun-a-week

GWG8541 The last few years I have done it I bought just 1 or 3 tickets. I know that some people here who have won multiple times did significantly more than that, so this year, I upped my chances. Didn’t go too crazy but I bought more than just 3. Part f that is because I also see it as a donation to a good organization. I’m not having kids so i feel like I need to do SOME stuff to support raising kids to want to hunt and like guns.

Jonathon if you would like to buy 3 more tickets in my name I would be OK with it. I am picky about donating or supporting anything, but this is a worthwhile organization that:
- Makes a difference in the lives of young people
- Promotes hunting and outdoor sports
These are two things I whole heartedly believe in so if I donate and don’t win, it was money well spent.

Personally, I’d prefer none of you buy tickets, increases my chance and so far, all I have done is see people I know win guns BUT it is a good way to spice up Wednesdays and it supports a really good cause!

Help Pass It On Outdoor Mentors create future hunters!Every Ticket enters you in 52 separate weekly drawings…you could win several firearms with a single ticket! That’s less than $1/chance to win! At the end of the drawing, we’re going to put all of the winning tickets in a Bonus Drawing meaning that some lucky winner is guaranteed to win at least 2 firearms! We’re going to give away 54 guns!!!
1 ticket for $50
3 tickets for $100

Jonathon If I make a donation & happen to get as lucky as you are, can you pick the weapons up for us? I don’t think I could make it to Wichita anytime soon, unless we can get a project out your way. I don’t think they can mail them, but maybe I am wrong on that.

calldoctoday Most of the time they can ship it to someone with an FFL near you.

bocephus I wonder how difficult it is to get one for yourself. Otherwise, I would probably have to pay a store somewhere to hold it for me. Have you ever tried doing that before?

calldoctoday there are individuals who have FFL’s, but you can have it shipped to any store or individual holding a FFL if they are willing to make transfers. Around here I have seen fees from 25 to 50 latley for transfers. Im luck enough to know a few that will do it for me at no cost. The store or person ends up being the record holder of that weapon sale, so the fee is to make the time and paperwork worth their while.

GWG8541 Thank You. I used to know some folks that could have done it for me in Texas, but I am not sure where we are now. I will have to look into it. I really appreciate it. Or of course, if we were to get that lucky, I would be thrilled to do a building inspection in Wichita & make the trip to pick it up, that would be amazing. I wonder though what it would involve getting the FFL, even if I am not buying & selling any weapons. I am pretty much 99 9/10 certain I would qualify, but probably a cost issue.

GWG8541 I actually DID buy 3 more tickets but I left my name on them…I’ll think of you if I win though?!
calldoctoday I have asked our FFL if we could hold it for someone on Meagistics. I believe we can but I’m not 100% sure.

FYI I talked to our FFL and he said that it would be difficult as Pass It On has someone they work with for this. Doesn’t mean it couldn’t be done in an emergency but it isn’t the easiest way to do it.
