In the email, you asked for ideas about what would be a flash sale and thoughts on % off or time frame or number of items that could sell at that price. So here are a few thoughts on those subjects.
How about doing something really useful for everyone; even those that must work or maybe it’s their best day of the year to hunt? Or possibly helping those of us out that are just getting started with on farm processing of our own livestock that we have raised from start to finish?
What about 35% to 45% off of seasoning and cure orders with free economy shipping all day long so as not to leave out those folks that must work or can’t be there?
How about creating a couple flash sales that take place after the livestream? However, maybe you have to log in to Meatgistics and comment that you want to see the deals, which are then emailed to you…? Potentially the people that could not be there for the livestream would have to find the thread where you posted the deals and time or item limits on, and the deals are maybe not quite as good as during the livestream but it still allows others to participate and blesses a lot of other people too…?Heck, I don’t know, but it sure seems like there are many more ways to drive traffic and create interest then to just have a few deals that unless people have $300 to 500 extra cash laying around AND be present during the livestream also then they are just pretty much out of luck. But then the livestream almost becomes a burden to those that now feel like they wasted their time. The potential pitfall is the people that feel like no effort was made to reach out to the whole community will most likely not speak highly of, or recommend the site. Which I believe in the end could potentially hurt business and the community as a whole. I’m certainly not a marketing expert by any means, but I have been heavily involved in business, ministry, and outreach programs in a management role for a lot of years, which has taught me a lot about how people tend to process things and respond to things. Just some thoughts and possible suggestions to hopefully spark some discussions amongst the staff.
Anyway, best wishes for the livestream; I will try to be present if possible and I’m actually very much looking forward to it since it will be my first one from you all.
