Does anyone have experience with the different brands? I think an 11lb stuffer would be a good size to upgrade to from my 5lb stuffer. I got a pk100 now and can do bigger batches.
So does anyone know differences between the Waltons, Cabelas, The Sausage Maker, Hakka, LEM, Weston. Might eventually want to add electric motor but right now not necessary because of price. Are they all pretty much similar? Or little differences like some plastic gears instead of metal, or better cranking ergonomics.
I was happy with my Cabelas 5lb stuffer it was a great upgrade from using the grinder to stuff and it leaves very little meat in the bottom

Randie N So much depends on batch size and frequency. I got a used F Dick 30 pound well before I knew about Walton’s. It is built like a tank. Making snack stick or breakfast sausage links is no problem.

Now, I do 60 and 90 pound batches about 3 times per month minimum. It is still easy to use at my age, the only difficulty is picking up the thing. And I typically stuff by myself. No cheater bar necessary to push out the meat.

Walton’s products are great for for most users and should last a life time. I haven’t used one, so I can’t speak for the gearing and how difficult it would be to make small diameter product.

Maybe someone who has used Walton’s and a F Dick could describe if there are any differences in gearing.

On the thanksblackmonday video, it says the 11 pound stuffers will be $70 off Friday through Monday? If that is correct, I will be grabbing one. I will keep my 5 pound for 16mm snack sticks.

Randie N We have a lem 10 lb stuffer and the lem 15 lb stuffer….the lem 10 lband the Walton’s 11lb look the same only difference is probably the price….I agree with ND Mike about the gears exposed on top. Don’t really like it we have used the 15lb to make sticks it was a PITA practically lifted the table off the ground but didn’t break anything….probably took a few years off the stuffers life

Grimpuppy seen that sale mentioned… that’s why i was asking some questions. I watched some old videos on the stuffer and it said they had aluminum gears. Not sure why you would want aluminum gears. The videos were a couple years old I think so notnsure what has changed if anything on new models

Randie N Walton’s does offer replacement gears on their website if you ever needed them. Jonathon did a video on maintenance on a Walton’s stuffer too where he walks you through a bunch of things.
