The bottle I chose today represents part of our emblem. Our Eagle, Globe and Anchor. The eagle stands ready above our globe, which represents every clime and place we have fought. The anchor which represents our rich traditions in the naval sea service as United States Marines. In the air, on land, and sea. Semper Fi Marines and Happy Birthday.

Surg I will try just about any IPA. But, just can’t do more than 2 in a sitting. Then, I switch to something a little less hoppy. But, I would lift your can to all the vets.
Surg I found the Yuengling Hershey Porter at my local grocery and grabbed the last 12 pack. I also picked up some Shiner Holiday Ale. The Shiner is a good seasonal ale. The fruit and spice flavors really come through.

HerbcoFood heck yeah, that Texas brewery makes pretty good stuff. I discovered it here about 5 years ago with Shiner Bock. I like dark beers in general and it did not disappoint.

GWG8541 I used to like it, then to me something happened when they started venturing into all sorts of seasonal beers. Just my own take was that their quality was thrown out the window to keep up with the craft brewery explosion here in Texas.

HerbcoFood the bock and this one are the only 2 I’ve tried. Both of them seemed pretty good when I tried them before. I hope I’m not disappointed.

GWG8541 I liked both. The shiners is not tooo xmassy. Just about right. Have fun with both.
zbigjeff I about picked up the Great Lake Christmas Ale with them. I have never tried it. I have had a few GL Brewery products that were pretty good. Have you had the Christmas Ale?

GWG8541 I have had the old and current version. It’s not bad if you like heavy botanicals. The shiners is a lot lighter and enjoyable to me. But, to each their own.
