cdavis I’ve had it way a long time ago and it was good. I just found this and thought this might be really good too! https://youtu.be/B8nOaB2_Lus

bocephus liver is ok once in a while but I have to be in the mood for it. I do like liver sausage though or some braunschwieger.

I have one in the freezer, I have been wanting to make it like Steve Renellia makes his. Sliced thin fried in oil with onions.

I’m asking the group for your favorite ways to eat deer heart. I am going to make sure I save deer hearts from now on unless we blow it up…which has been known to happen quite a bit. Lots of North Dakota kill shots from our hunting group.

Like bocephus I like it stuff, I use wild rice, fry it for appetizers. The liver we use to make liver sausage, I like to fry it up but I can eat only so much liver by myself, the sausage goes quicker.

+1 on the method used by bocephus and cdavis.
Deer heart is very good. We secretly served some to a friend and told him it was steak. He claimed he never ate organ meats, but he scarfed it down and had seconds.
I like deer liver and onions. Not much different than beef liver IMO, but somewhat different than pork liver.
We use deer liver with pork trim and pork fat to make braunschweiger with good results.
The gut pile gets a little smaller every year. lol
