craigrice Sharks or some form of them are probably everywhere, some even in freshwater. I know in British Columbia, when I went up there about 20 years ago or so, we caught several of those White Sharks. They despise them with a passion up there. I did not even mention thinking about eating them, but of course the Halibut, Salmon, etc. was so nice it was hard to even think of sharks.

calldoctoday They call them dogfish, They are terrible when you are bottom fishing. People here do eat them. You have to soak them over night in milk to get the p*ss out of them since they excrete it through their skin. People say it a is good and a nice white meat with no bones, have not been that adventurous yet. Caught a lot of them in the sound and off the coast.

johnsbrewhouse It took me a while. I think I finally took the leap back in the early 80’s when my brother & I were fishing on a boat & this guy kept asking us for the sharks we were throwing back. Finally I said to my brother, what is this? There must be something to it. So we figured we would keep one & try it. It took me a few tries to figure out the Milk & Mustard marinate & the throwing everything from the A Hole forward back for chum, before I figured it out. Then they made the little trick illegal, but at least we knew it worked & was for some pretty decent (certainly not the best though) pure white meat with no bones eatin. “Tastes Like Chicken!” & lots of it.

Jonathon I think the people that go in the water intentionally when there are sharks around are more than a bubble off plumb.

Hey Jonathon, have you ever seen how Orka’s fish? They literally catapult their prey. I would be more afraid of being in the water with them than a shark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7WGIH35JBE

Dr_Pain I did see that a while back and laughed very loudly! The sea is a scary place my friends, beautiful, but scary, a lot like a Girlfriend of mine from College! You want to dive into it, but if you don’t pay attention it’ll kill ya really quick!

Jonathon Sounds like you were lucky that it didn’t go farther than just girlfriend, not sure that would be worth the risk, might’ve gone to sleep and not woken up.

The word girlfriend and college in the same sentence is definitely scary. Worse when you are dealing with a cute and crazy one.
