NDKoze Jonathon I have no problems being a guinnea pig and trying the firmware update on mine. I’m out of town for a few days, but I’ll try and remember to run some checks on mine, then update firmware, and re-run some tests and see if anything changs once I’m back.

Austin FYI I am hiding mine so if “yours” was the media rooms Meater you will never find it! Well, I guess it’s not really “mine”

Jonathon I have a separate one. If it works fine though I may just update yours without telling you and see if you notice.

I see this thread is year old but has anyone tried the meat stick therm. Its truly wireless like the meater but seems to be better built in that its is water proof, can be used in a deep frier, and can monitor 8 probes using an app. Also COMES IN ORANGE. If anyone has tried this I would like to know. I’m in no way affiliated with any company, just looking to get the best thing for me. Hers a link .

Bought a used meatstick off ebay and of course it did not work. The meat stick company helped get the replacement bridge and probes, it now works as it should . I’m quite happy with this set up.

So did they replace the whole device, or are there user-replaceable parts that they sent you?

                  ENZOO Wireless Meat Thermometer
Just got this one and I’m super happy I did! $40 on amazon. Radio frequency not Bluetooth. I can read it in the shop from the far side of my house. Put it in the truck with me and I lose signal at 2 BLOCKS AWAY! Tried it at my buddies where the big smoker is located in a steel Quonset, loses signal at 200’, but that’s to be expected.
                  Highly recommend this product.

They gave me a new bridge and two probes for 50%off. Both came with 1yr warranty

This may be a dead horse but I’ve been using the Fireboard thermometer. I think they’ve got a newer model but mine will run 6 channels, has wifi and Bluetooth and can run a fan/blower for temp control,
Although I’ve never set it up that way. The other pro is that it is a made in USA product, in fact it is made in Kansas City.

RafterW and not to mention the fact one of the owners is from Pratt. I have the old model Fireboard and Drive fan, it works great for holding a steady temp on my Primo once I pretty much have it dialed in.

Model as well. Works great. Yeah the connection to Pratt is cool as well. I worked on their farm all through highschool and part of college.

processhead sorry didnt see the question. Well the wifi bridge did not work at all. They couldnt warranty it because I bought it off someone. They sold me a replacement bridge and one of the probes that also was failing at 1/2price on both. Like 30 for the bridge and 25 for the probe.
Got everything working and I think I burned out the new probe by pushing it through a chicken breast. That one that warranted. I probably saved 30 bucks from what a new one cost but looking back I should have just spent the 200 bucks and had a good warranty.
The people were very helpful and I really liked the ability to deep fry with the thermometer in the frier.
