The lights don’t dim but I have to admit I am no fan of the avocado color scheme. It’s right out of the 1970’sDon’t go trashing the '70s now. LOL. Those were some fun years.
The avocado was to match the green shag carpeting in the living room. When we were just married we lived in a house that had the green shag carpet AND green kitchen countertops. Too poor to do anything about it so we just lived with it. lol

bocephus Well i learn something new every day. I always used a 5gl graduated bucket for mixing mortar. what is the cost for a mortar tub? The busboy tubs have (cost extra) fitted lids/ stackable covers. Have you checked the bottom trade stamp for fda food safe approved plastics. I’m kind of an*l about those things. Interested… Please ck. Thanks for the info…
JoeB They are $6 or $7 at lowes or home depot. Don’t know about food grade but my father found them about 40 years ago and been using ever since to mix sausage in. Might not be suitable for commercial but we have never had a problem and because of the flat bottom and curve in the ends they sure work nice. Just checked it is marked PP 5.

bocephus Wow pp5 is one of the safest plastics out there. Thanks for sharing. Great home solution. Cheers

Just because a tub is not marked as food safe, does not automatically mean it is not.
It may mean it just was never tested/certified/stamped by some agency. Looking at what kind of plastic it is made of is probably a good start.I guess I might be a little cautious about using a container that was made of recycled materials. With those, you don’t have a clue what residues are in there and what chemicals may have come along for the ride.

processhead I agree. To each their own device. For me the oils and processing used are the unforeseen elements. Unless it’s fda food safe there is a good chance it was made economically with carcinogenic chemicals. If the tool is there why not use it. Just what I do.

JoeB Just looking at some of my profile and I apparently down voted one of my own posts, must be getting too critical in my old age.
