What Will it BBQ next?
-
Hey guys, we have some help coming in and both Austin and I are wanting to do some fun will it bbqs in the next few months, does anyone have any suggestions of things they want to either see us struggle through or see us love?

Smoked bourbon ice cream.

Have you done a whole hog lately? I always wanted to try it but that is just a huge amount of pig unless you are doing it for an event.
Maybe just do a young 40-60 pounder.

processhead It’s a lot of work, but the extra meat freezes very well. All the times I’ve done one, I have a hard time finding one under 105 to 110 lbs. With the two suppliers I have here in the Houston area, I can never get one smaller.
What are you going to cook it on?

Jonathon How about a Steamship Round. Impressive looking, rather inexpensive, and fun to carve up.
I’ve done several and always well received by people.

Jonathon are you looking for some crazy ideas like Jack Fruit or more inline with mainstream cooking?

If I did a hog, I would probably do a covered fire pit of some sort, but I really don’t have ready made cooker to handle it right now.
Where we live, I don’t think it would be too difficult to find a smaller hog for a project like this. -
