At one time, Popeyes was the only chicken franchise (that I am aware of) that offered fried chicken livers, which I also really crave once in a while. They quit offering those too, and moved towards more seafood offerings on the menu. Popeyes biscuits are pretty good too.
JoeB at one time Al Copeland was the owner and CEO of Churches and Popeyes’s . Back in the day, he would decorate the outside of his house for the holidays and it became kind of a destination place for people to drive to in New Orleans.processhead Churches in our area still have livers and gizzard. Once in a great while, I grab an order.

Their chicken is pretty good, but they cook their chicken livers and gizzards to order. Always hot and tasty.
If you ask my wife her new go to place is Buc-cees, she is impressed withe the size of place and number of pumps. And she can always find something that she needs to buy, and their bbq isn’t to bad.

craigrice Sounds like you live in a similar environment that I do. We have a few fast food franchises in the cities.

Marinade with this:
Waltons Buffalo Wing MarinadeThen use the a double dip of Chicken on the Run breading and fry. It will get you pretty close. The Buffalo Marinade gives it a spicy kick without the buffalo sauce taste like Franks.
