First off - Welcome to the community. Thanks for your question. I am a PK100 owner and I must say that is in an excellent choice for a smoker. It imparts some incredible smoke flavor from saw dust. I really like it. It is extremely well insulated and does a great job. I am not familiar with the use of the other you mentioned but I am sure others will chime in.

Jonstotz1 Actually, both are fine pieces of equipment and both would work well as long as you join the blue team…

Jonstotz1 welcome to the community. Watch out for the blue hat folks. They are knowledgeable but they will take you down the wrong color road. Go Team Orange undefined

Jonstotz1 I dont have any experience with the model 5 but I can echo others praise of the Pk100. One difference might be in the price? From their site the cost was about $1,000 more, I doubt that would be worth it, the PK100 is about as good as that style of smoker is going to get in my opinion. I’ve been wrong before though!
