We have used the Walton #26 stuffer for two season now with over 1,000 lbs pushed through it. Our issue is, when the plate gets to the half way point or below, the cylinder starts to tilt backwards. The springs that help hold the cylinder vertical are not strong enough to keep it in a locked vertical position. As a workaround, the person stuffing has to apply downward press on the stuffing tube to keep it in place.
Is there a better way of locking the stuffer in place?
