I was thinking about a blizzard from DQ and not a early Spring blizzard blizzard!

Same here. Probably the only kind of blizzard I would want to experience in April.

We are getting smacked with a good one up here. I am in the 18-24 inch range for snow with 50 mph winds tomorrow. This is our travel info map! Lots of closed roads and no travel advised. I just got done snowblowing for 2 hours so hopefully I can get to work! Screenshot_20220412-215434_Facebook.jpg

ND Mike Be safe up there, hopefully the people will listen to the warnings and just stay home. I was in western Minnesota about a month ago and talked to a friend that ran a city crew and they were tired of all the snow then, by the time I left it had warmed up enough that a good melt was happening, they needed the moisture to fill the lakes back up but this is getting ridiculous.

ND Mike Just read where ND leads the nation in beer consumption, maybe that is what all the people are doing during all the blizzards you had up there this year.

ND Mike That stuff hit us on Monday while the wife and I were out on the coast for our Anniversary. We hit snow going down the coast, they were even plowing the road which is pretty much unheard of in April along the Oregon Coast. Just glad we weren’t traveling inland since they had some problems there.

johnsbrewhouse there is a good chance I won’t be able to get to my house when my shift is over. The City is only plowing emergency routes right now. Residential areas are on their own.

ND Mike Wow, we are headed home today, we are on the Washington coast now, no snow but 38 degrees and partly sunny, but they were getting some snow inland this morning. Fortunately by the time we head out, the temps will be up and it will be moved on since we are taking a longer way back rather than the normal two hour drive that does take us over some elevations which do get snow easier. Glad I don’t have to work anymore otherwise I would have been called in to prep the PD vehicles for the little bit of snow.

ND Mike Eastern ND and Western MN had a lot of snow, all winter long. They needed it to fill the lakes that were very low the summer before.

That is one ugly travel map there. Wow. Cold rain and wind here. After seeing that, I’ll take the cold rain. Be safe!
I think a nice hot toddy would be a good way to end your shift. 😉

PapaSop yeah…the only good thing about this is the Western half of the State was very dry. This is very moisture rich snow which will help out the drought conditions greatly.

ND Mike More on the way. On the way home we got everything, then got home to a hail storm that turned to snow and covered the ground and now the sun is out somewhat and snow is melting. Just waiting for a thunderstorm now that we have sun. Weird weather for us. Hopefully they find a place for you to stay if you can’t make it home for the night, be safe out there with all those who think they might know how to drive in those conditions.
