I went through it and found this pan. Needs a lot of work to clean it up but in decent shape . I dont know if it is a good one or not . maybe someone on here knows. There where some other pans that I have no idea what they are for eitherIMG_1086.jpg

Corn bread muffin pan ,nice do a little sand blast on it and it’ll be like new. Just re-season again when done.

Oh they will be really nice with just a little love. My opinion is almost all cast iron is good cookware, it’s just some is a little better. If it will not clean up with a scouring pad get one of these pads for your drill and it will do the trick.

RON PARRISH it’s a Wagner Ware piece, if it doesn’t say made in the USA then it should be pre-1969, if I remember correctly. A good piece, several ways to clean it up, check on line.

The rough texture will make cleaning a little tougher. Looks like you have a little rust going on there.
I am a fan of using electrolysis for cleaning old cast iron. Works very well on pieces like yours where mechanical cleaning may not reach all areas well.
Just need a car battery charger, Arm and Hammer washing soda , and a plastic container.

In the past I have posted pictures here of some cast iron sausage stuffers that I have refurbished using this process.
It does a good job of removing rust, carbon, old paint, and dried on grease/crud.
Usually you have to do a little washing with detergent and hot water and a scotchbrite pad to remove remaining dry deposits after you are through, but it is usually fairly easy at that point.
After the piece is dried, it will be ready to re-season.

Agree electrolysis is the way to go. Wagner is some great cast iron based on my skillets is amazing how much lighter and smoother than modern day lodge they are.

Once you get it cleaned up, I have had good luck using Crisbee Stik to maintain. It comes like a deodorant stick you can just melt/wipe on a warm pan after drying on stove. Is a beeswax product.

What I like is that it doesn’t remove any of the original iron, just the rust/dirt/grease.
Sand blasting will remove all that too, but you also lose the original smooth finish in the process.

Put a heavy coating of Dawn dish soap, sprinkle a good coating of baking soda & salt (kosher). Cover/wrap w/ damp paper towels for an hour. Use a kitchen scrub pad or a 3M scuff pad to release the crud.

I went through it and found this pan. Needs a lot of work to clean it up but in decent shape . I dont know if it is a good one or not . maybe someone on here knows. There where some other pans that I have no idea what they are for eitherIMG_1086.jpg

RON PARRISH those are not in bad shape and would be easy to clean up. Im not sure who makes the top one, it may be a Lodge. The bottom one is a Wagner Ware, which was made just up the road in Sidney, Ohio and is a collectable since they are no longer made. I have a few pieces from them. That looks like light surface rust so they would clean up easy. Just re-season them after cleaning them just like a skillet. If you ever want to get rid of them let me know.
