BHA sausage making class with yours truly
-
https://www.backcountryhunters.org/make_the_best_sausage
Something we are doing to help BHA out on October 20th. If you are gonna be in the area and want to learn how to make sausage (lets be honest, you all already are more advanced than what I will be going over) or just have some fun stop on by!
Join Kansas BHA Chair Kurt Ratzlaff and Jon Tremblay from Waltons as we discuss how to make the best sausage you have ever made. We’ll discuss making everything from fresh sausage to snack sticks to summer sausage. And we’ll actually be making and sampling various sausages with venison, beef and pork. Learn the ins and outs of using those different kinds of meat to make your sausage.
This will absolutely be an interactive event, so bring your questions, and get answers! Seating will be limited to 50 attendees so that everyone can participate in the discussion. Make sure to RSVP as soon as possible!

cdavis that noodling gives the sport a bad rep. You would be surprised at how we target and catch catfish compared to 10, 20, and 30 years ago. Tournament catfishing has exploded in the last few years. It will never rival bass tournaments, but we are getting there.
We finished 3rd in Cabela’s national championship tournament last year. First place on that tourney was $50k.

Grimpuppy That is awesome. Please keep me posted on how you do and i would love to see some pictures. Good luck to you sir and be safe

I didn’t do so well. Most teams struggled to find big fish. The tourney was at Milford which has a 25”-40” slot with a limit of one fish over 40”. So the tourneys there have to abide buy that rule. We caught several fish up to 39 1/2” long but never got the big bite. We have a group called the Catfish Mafia. It is just kinda like a club. We have several members and we have anywhere from 5-10 teams that fish tournaments. Out of 100 teams from 12 states that fished it, we had 5 Catfish Mafia teams in the top 10.
