Fell off the map

Austin I also checked my location and Bismarck ND was still listed. I did re-save and I am still not on the map so who knows? Maybe it doesn’t like that I’m in a flyover State…lol!

It’s still broken, I put my full address in and saved it and still have fallen from existence on the map. I even checked Hawaii thinking I had flown back to my other home.

I’m not there any more either. Only 2 of us in Nevada swampthing and me so it’s not overcrowding.

FYI I have a ticket open with NodeBB on this. Sorry guys, I don’t know if there is a known issue or not but hopefully we will find out. The map is taking forever to load too.

Jonathon Thanks Jonathan, it is nice to see where people are from, last time I was on the map I was the lone representative from NM.

Hey guys, we’re looking into this. The map should load quick again, although location changes don’t propagate right now. Stay tuned.

julian I’ve tried with and without zip code, all caps, no caps, some caps, 2 letter abbreviated state, whole name for state, zip code only, no comma between city/state, gps coordinates, and the 7 digit city code from openstreet and nothing worked for me.

Ridley Acres Yes, updating the map is currently broken. You shouldn’t need that much granularity in the address, although it does help.

Okay, I THINK we have it fixed. I have made sure that the map loads much much faster and I updated our token. I was hoping this would load people who had been on and fallen off but it does not seem to have. I will continue to do some more testing throughout but for new users I think we are good for now!

Ah, okay, it might not have loaded fully yet, it looks like it needs to restart to do that. Okay, google analytics says we have no one on at the moment so i am going to restart Meatgistics. I don’t trust that no one is on but that is what it is saying, so sorry to anyone I am about to kick off.

Jonathon When I did restart systems, there was always 1-5 who didn’t listen to warnings. Never felt bad for them. In this case, it’s not a production app. The “sorry” was obligatory.

How do you put yourself on the map

So, yes, we have restarted it but it doesn’t seem to have fixed it. I have moved myself and kyle to a few different locations and it is not picking us up. Ticket with NodeBB is still open. gus4416 in general you would add your location to your profile by clicking on your icon in the upper right hand corner and then clicking edit profile.

Seems the token is still invalid… Mapbox returns “Forbidden”… hmm.

Just checked to see if the updates put me on the map and they did not. So I went to my profile settings and re-typed in my city, st and hit save and SHAZAM, I’m back on the map baby!
