I don’t know how many read on here for enjoyment but I just finished a great book. If you’re into WW2 history check out Spearhead by Adam Makos. It’s primarily about a tank crew in the 3rd Armored Division. This same author wrote A Higher Call which is also a great book. That one is about a B17 and a Luftwaffe Ace.

Tex_77 they are both well written and researched. The author does a good job of showing the human side of the participants as well.

So, if we are talking history and military and recommendations I have a few:
Lessons from the outlaw platoon by sean parnel. For those who know of him this isn’t political at all, just his story of his time spent overseas
Hardcore history by Dan Carlin…litteraly any of his podcasts, they are all amazing and calling them podcasts doesn’t do it justice, they are very in depth.

Fields of Fire by James Webb. I was given the book for placing first in my class at vehicle recovery school in the Corps. Not a big reader, so I didn’t do anything with it for a while. Got deployed to Somalia and started reading it on the plane. I couldn’t put it down. Great Vietnam book.
