Have always taken beef we raise to the butcher every year. With everything like it is and with me getting a walk-in cooler for personal butchering of deer, hogs, and steers, what is some good books to be reading.

I have Basic butchering of livestock and game.

Is the Butchering Beef book Walton’s item #2191095 a good book?

I’ve processed all deer we kill ever since I started hunting 40 years ago. Never done hogs or steers.

knifemaker3 That is a well-worn book in these parts, recommended for sure.

Jonathon thanks! I’ll be ordering it from you soon along with other supplies.

Just got the cooler took apart and home. Now to find someone to build a cover around it and get it back up and running before deer season!
