craigrice I’ve got several that I’ve amassed over the years but sadly they just collect dust these days. It really depends on how much you want to spend…the sky is the limit! Some of my larger gear was purchased from StillDragon. I’ve also but bought from Brewhaus and Hillbilly Stills. I’ve recently purchased a small brewing device from a company called Pico Brew that makes 1 gallon batches of beer with ease…think of it as a K-cup of booze. I also purchased their still attachment but I have yet to play around with it.

I bought one, basically a 5 gallon pot with a silicon seal and lid that snaps down. A second smaller pot sits a top with the copper worm/cooling - less than $100 off the internet - some Chinese company. Takes several hours (3 or 4) to make a ‘run’ yielding 5 quarts in mason jars. The mead I ran through was great, honeyshine @ 120 proof.

I agree with popasop list. I have been brewing my own beer for over three decade and making wine over four decades. I like IPAs, but my favorite types are free and cold, LOL. Whiskey and bourbon are my go to followed by vodka and rum. Tequilas and vodkas tend to get me in trouble. The good stuff neat, maybe an ice cube. The cheap stuff used for mixing and cooking.

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

I picked up a few more bottles today for the impending quarantine. As I suspected, the lack of restaurant/bar business has allotted more Weller to the liquor stores.

YooperDog I will second that, although I am not so sure about the Vodka. I have been wanting to brew my own (Beer, wine, & whiskey) for years, but have still never quite got around to getting completely set up. Dave

PapaSop My wife says she heard on the radio that they were going to stop selling guns and/or ammunition but I think that is one of those things people freak about as I have asked our FFL guy and he said it isn’t true.

Yeah Alchohol is one of the few drugs that will kill an addict if you cut off their supply (or so says Joe Rogan!) so making it impossible to get more doesn’t seem wise. I think I get why they are doing it, they don’t want a bunch of people in a stressful situation to sit around and get drunk all-day but they aren’t our parents or loved ones, they don’t get to tell us how to live our lives like that. Ok, mini-rant over.

I hope a lot of you can join us for our mid month special livestream we are doing tomorrow!
