Drink of Choice

Younger brother usually brings a bottle of Buffalo Trace and we enjoy a nice drink in the evening after our hunt.

bocephus That’s a nice bottle to share. But, any bottle in that circumstance is beautiful. Just smile and enjoy.

zbigjeff We usually get to sleep fairly early as we will be hunting for nine days, but a spare is never a bad thing to have.

Speaking of bourbon. Anyone seen the documentary Heist on Netflix? Specifically the Pappygate! All I could do was shake my head. Unbelievable!

PapaSop - I liked it. I had no idea it was that expensive.

ND Mike craigrice amen to that. Im heading out tomorrow to visit the great state of Tennessee for a long weekend. I have one uncle and aunt left alive. My Dad’s baby brother and his wife. He is 88 and I just need to visit for a spell. I will also visit my first cousin who has been in our chosen occupation ND Mike . After 30 years he is having to take a disability because of a neurological thing affecting his balance and speech. The docs cannot put a name to it yet, but have him on chemo. He is basically a little brother I never had. It just goes to show you. Don’t sweat the small stuff, and its all small stuff.

ND Mike Go Bison, what a football tradition. One of my brothers and one of my sisters graduated from NDSU. The head basketball coach’s father used to deer hunt with us.

PapaSop lkrfletcher I watched it and compared it to the book about the Van Winkle family called “Pappyland”. In the book, Julian basically said that he doesn’t even think about it much because the “real good stuff” was basically just thrown away by the new owner of his dad’s place because he didn’t know what he had. That discarding of the real pappy was many more times the heist for sure. The book is down to earth and an easy read.
