when cleaning the leftover product out of the tube I have found that if I put my scrubbing brush in a cover of a Ziploc bag and push the meat with it ,the meat comes out very well and the brush is still clean to use for scrubbing

Nice. I usually just push it out by hand. Stuffer has a big horn. Roll into a small loaf and put in smoker. Comes out great.

craigrice I use one of two methods…The first is to back out the plunger fast. If the farce is on the softer side it will suck right back inside the canister. If that doesn’t work I use a brush that is specifically for the tubes and push it directly into a zip-loc for storage. Lately I’ve been taking all of my leftover sausage and mixing it with an equal part of beef, some bread crumbs, egg and a pinch of salt. We sell that as meatloaves or meatballs at the shop or we simply take it home and eat it ourselves.

Never had that happen by backing out the plunger but it makes sense. Hmm.

Joe Hell growing up with my grandparents my grandmother would take the left over roast beef from Sunday dinner and grind it and mix it with sausage and make meatloaf with it in a little hand grinder

Joe Hell and anyone who is wanting to try that way placing your hand over the opening while you back it out will actually increase the pressure and therefore the effectiveness of this method. Problem is when making snack sticks I can’t get it to work but with larger diameter sausage it does work!
