      Rogan…only Rogan.

lol I do really listen to Rogan daily, on any commute. I also like the Bear Grease Podcase.

I’ll check in with Krystal and Sagaar on youtube from time to time as well. Haven’t spent much time on the books/audio books, as of late.

RedHills Rancher podcast from time to time and my cousin does one on events in our local town that I usually get caught up on.

RafterW I started listening to him recently, the Bill Maher episode is when I started actually listening to the podcast opposed to random youtube clips.

Cooking is so visual I prefer to watch that type of stuff on tv and youtube.

The Podcasts I listen to are: Lone Star Outdoor Show, The Justified Pursuit, and You Betcha Guys. I also sprinkle in a some true crime ones.

Well I have been listening to podcast for a couple of years now, and have just started listening to audio books, so I’m curious what is everyone reading/listening to or watching?

I’ll leave you with some of favorite podcasts and some of the books I’ve really liked.

        Podcasts:

        Meat/cooking related

        Meatgistics Podcast
Austin Jonathon obviously one of the greatest podcasts of all time, highly recommend.

Meat Speak by Certified Angus Beef

        Gravy by Southern Foodways Alliance

Butcher BBQ Podcast by Butcher BBQ

        History Podcasts:

Band Of Brothers Podcast by HBO
I want preface this Podcast by saying if you have not watched the Band of Brothers miniseries, you need to do so before listening to this, which is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the series. I thought it was an incredible podcast, and good luck keeping a dry eye listening to it.

        American History Tellers by Wondry

Legends of the Old West by Black Barrel Media

        Danger Close with Jack Carr

        Combat Story with Ryan Fuguit

        Country/Red Dirt Music Podcasts:

A Couple in with Cody Jinks

The Troubadour Podcast by Jared Pete Gile

        Jackin’ Around by Jack Ingram

        Other Random Podcasts:

Mike Force by Mike Glover covers military history, survival, current events, prepping, etc

Jocko Podcast by Jocko Willink, covers history to business to leadership.

Yellowstone Podcast a companion to the TV series.

Rump Chat by Justin Rumford and Hambone Hilton, if you like or follow rodeo you will want to listen to this.

Bear Grease Podcast by Clay Newcomb, covers everything from history, to hunting and Southern Culture.

        Bourbon Pursuit all about Bourbon

MeatEater Podcast by Steven Rinella, covers history to hunting and everything in between.

        Latest Audiobooks:

With the Old Breed by E. B. Sledge if you have seen the HBO miniseries the Pacific this one of the two books it was based off of. I just finished it and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a first hand account of a Marine in the Pacific theater.

Helmet for My Pillow by Robert Leckie This is the other book that Pacific is based on, and Robert Leckie tells his story as a Marine in the Pacific.

Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey some good stories and life lessons in this book.

The next book im excited to listen to when it comes out in a couple weeks is “Fierce Valor: The True Story of Ronald Speirs and his Band of Brothers”

Tex_77 Wow, that is a long list!
        I am almost disappointed though, I don’t see a K-State sports podcast on that list… I thought you were a K-State fan…

I listen to The Powercat Podcast religiously. I think that is the best K-State sports podcast out there.

Strangely, I do listen to the Meatgistics Podcast, even though I’m usually on it. Even when I’m on it, listening back to it again helps here it as a listener to try to keep improving on things.

        Sports Podcasts:
The Powercat Podcast - hands down best for keeping up with K-State Wildcats sports
The Ranger Report Podcast - a friend of mine does this podcast (I also sponsor it) and they are good to listen to for a baseball fix
Heartland College Sports - favorite way to keep up on happenings inside the Big12
Locked On Big 12 - not as good as Pete Mundo’s podcast above, but still good

        Other Podcasts
The Flush Podcast - Hunting stories and Travis is great to listen to, or watch on his TV shows
The Wilkow Majority - favorite news and opinion show
        The Ben Shapiro Show

I don’t have any books to list. I really don’t read books, but probably ought to. I read a lot, but books are too long. My attention span doesn’t last much over 20 minutes. So I’ll be intrigued to see what else other people recommend for books here.

Tex_77 We’ve been on a bad luck streak lately, but things are gearing up for 2022-2023 sports to be pretty darn good. Football should be good next year. Men and Women’s basketball is really promising for a fun season next year!

Austin Jonathon so I got a State of Kansas Library card, which now allows me to read free eBooks/Audiobooks so goodbye Audible. It was really easy to get, I just had to go to my local library to get signed up.

For everyone not in Kansas I would check with your State library to see if they have a similar program.

So my last listen was Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. I thought the book was excellent and provided many practical leadership principals with lessons from the battlefield and how they can be applied to business. I would highly recommend this book to anyone in a leadership role within a business. Austin Jonathon I plan to follow this up with the next book they put out The Dichotomy of Leadership: Balancing the Challenges of Extreme Ownership to Lead and Win

Tex_77 “The Dichotomy…” read would be very interesting. The only theme I never enjoyed as a consultant was a “Micro Manager”. Just sayin’.

Tex_77 Yeah extreme leadership was a great book, if you like that then Outlaw Platoon by Shawn Parnell has some interesting stuff in it. It’s not the same but similar themes.
