Idaho Smokey it was definitely an interesting post. I should be good this year. I had my greens on New Years eve for dinner, but made sure I kept a little for lunch on the first just in case. This picture was our New Years day dinner at my sister and brother-in-law’s house. This was my plate with roasted pork, sausage, kraut, mashed potatoes and Black Eyed Pea salad.

I know I certainly gained weight, but a years worth of good luck and good fortune is yet to be seen. It was interesting looking at everyone’s traditions. Many are similar or the same, just some small twists along the way.

Jonathon it’s like magic. Bake some bbq ribs without spraying the pan. Let it soak with a used one, we have never tried new, I’m to cheap.

kyle I always have used ones hanging around, as we do the laundry the dogs steal them and run around the house with them for some reason. I assume it isn’t good for them so I chase them, which is probably why they keep taking them!

Austin and I were talking the other day and I really think mine have cost me more money, the big guy has had 2 pricey knee surgeries, has allergies badly enough that we have to do immuno therapy for him and the other one is insane, on human antipsychotic pills and chews through doors! As far as time goes, it is probably about even BUT when my dogs die I will be sad, if I had a child and it died …I mean, maybe I don’t ever recover from that? Or at least it would be WAY harder to come back from…nice happy thoughts at 9:30 in the morning huh?!

Jonathon And I thought I had problems with my dogs, all they wanted was attention all the time, when we had four that was pretty intense, now down to one and he thinks we should still give him the same amount of attention as when we had four.

Jonathon I understand. We lost our Blue Healer Duke a year or so ago & it was really sad. He was the greatest of good dogs & I have had a few others too. But Duke had two ACL knee surgeries & we do not live near the good A&M school, with the good doctor that I knew personally before he died, anymore. Those vets are proud of their work these days. I had been there with ol Doc Poindexter when he worked on bulls, horses, & all sorts of other things & can’t even begin to imagine what the modern day vet would charge for all that.
