There are three new badges for Meatgistics users that have been on the site for certain time periods. For users that have been here for one year, there is the Yearling badge. Users that have been here for more than two years receive the Veteran badge. For those wise, old, greybeards that have been using Meatgistics for more than five years, they are awarded the Old Timer badge.

Although Iโ€™m a little shy of 5 years, luv the old timer thought. Nice! Still consider myself an old timer.

kyle We made our reservations and submitted a deposit for a cabin on Little St. Germain Lake in Vilas County in February. We have been going to this location for 15 years or so. The Tuesday after Labor Day we received a call that because of bad weather with high winds a tree had fallen on the cabin we were going to stay in and therefore it was rendered uninhabitable. With such short notice we were unable to find anyplace else to stay. There were several events going on during the time that we were headed back to WI; there was Cranberry Fest in Eagle River that we were going to, a Musky fishing tournament in Vilas & Oneida Countys( Boulder Junction, Minoqua & St.Germain areas) and an Art Festival all going on during the same 10 days. Needless to say, finding lodging was impossible. We are going to try and make it North in early May before all the aliens from Illinois get there for the summer. We really want to move back to WI and we are working with 2 realtors but the prices are way too high for lake front property and I refuse to buy sight unseen.

Bob Stehlik that stinks, but thank God you were not in the cabin when the tree fell on it. We would love to have you back, like they say, โ€œyou can take the boy out of WI but you cant take the WI out of the boyโ€. We have a nice fifth wheel camper you could use for a week if you would like to stay up closer to Superior sometime. There are a lot of nice campgrounds in the area. Funny how you want to come to wi, and my wife and I are going to try and make it out to Colorado next year. Neither of us have ever been there. If we do, I will let you know and maybe we can take you guys out to eat or something.

My killer tree story was camping when bad weather came in. Put everything under the table and tried to go to sleep. Wind came up to a bout 70 mph. Tour up our pole tent and blew a tree over onto the cement table crushing our gear. We got in our cars and fled. Left my motorcycle there. Came back the next day and the rangers had chainsawed the tree to get our stuff. Nothing salvageable but road the bike in the snow to get home. No body hurt so great camping trip.

kyle Thanks for the offer. You wouldnโ€™t believe the number of people here in Colorado from WI. Most of us moved here in the 70โ€™s. I moved here in October of 1972 and itโ€™s grown so much and changed tremendously. We very seldom go to the mountains anymore because of all of the traffic. Itโ€™s a beautiful state but just canโ€™t keep up with the growth.
