I was looking at the sawdust that is available for smoking. I found hickory and I think oak on another site. I haven’t found pecan though. I did find some pecan extra fine shavings. Can these be used? As mentioned in my post yesterday, the andouille turned out just as good as the real thing that we use in gumbos and jambalayas here in south east Louisiana.

They are out there. I won’t post a link here, since it would be to competitor, but search for fine cut woodchips.

What we keep calling “sawdust” often is more like a very fine wood chip, anyhow. I apologize if my saying “don’t use chips” caused you any confusion.

I can’t seem to find pecan on Walton’s site anywhere. Is it part of a multi wood package? I’d like to use it in my PK100 but I’m just not finding it. twilliams said to look under fine dust and it’s not listed among the other woods. Could someone provide the direct link to pecan fine dust. Rather than suggestions on how to search for it?

                Thanks for your time.

@Michael-Devenney go 2 peoples up response from your comment. Jonathon responding to no eyes processer provided a link. When you ckick on that on the bottom of the page it will have pictures of 4 bags of premium wood chips. One will say extra fine the other will say coarse. Click on either one and it will give you options of wood species to buy

twilliams thank you Sir. I thought that link was only for purchasing a 4 pack bundle the woods listed on the four bags in the image.
