Since we are taking about new Meatgistics features, does anyone like or hate the new fonts? Or indifferent?

Austin I’m a Times New Roman or Arial kind of guy.

Tex_77 I put it into times new roman… I don’t like it. I’ll leave it for a few minutes to let you enjoy it though.

Austin I used to play around with a little bit of web design and I really like the fonts and the design of the site in general. Although I’m too new to really know what it was like before, (although I’ll admit to creeping the site for a while before I signed up…) it has a modern feel to it and it does look a lot better than the Arial/sans serif font sets we were stuck with in the early 2000’s.

Austin Tex_77 when I learned HTML they told me that Times New Roman and the other serif fonts are for paper reading. Sans serif fonts are for the web. It’s an eye strain thing if I remember correctly.

badfire2625 Yep! That’s what I learned as well. I’m going back now to the font we were on before Times… I’ll change things around though as people provide more feedback on what they like or don’t like.

How do I remove my name from Meatgistics completely? I’m really tired of all the emails and I can’t figure out why I’m getting them???

@slotown I am pretty new here, so this may or may not work. I looked through settings and found the email settings. Maybe setting this to off will shut off all notifications so you can enjoy the content without the emails.

@slotown I can delete your account for you, feel free to “creep” though if you need information on stuff! For other people, who are getting emails that they don’t want, check your Watch settings in the upper right-hand box in the image that badfire2625 posted (thank you) and make sure you aren’t watching everything. Then go to each category and you can click the subscribe/unsubscribe button at the upper right.

Im finding the current font easier to read than the last font from a few days ago. Alot less eye strain.

gus4416 Not that you could not make a ham of sorts, but that would be better as buckboard bacon. Brine a few of them in Walton’s Maple Bacon brine for several days & smoke, chill, slice, store, & fry. Oh, fry up a little fresh too. I think you will like it & much cheaper & healthier too than regular bacon.

Austin is it just my old eyes or is the font much smaller today than yesterday. I mean I can enlarge the page on my Mac but it feels much smaller to me.

badfire2625 At the very, very bottom of every page, I put in a simple deal to change the sizing of text and everything (it says “Change Text Size” with arrows and a reset button). Give that a try and see if that works for helping with reading everything. If you don’t like it, let me know and I’ll work up something else. It should remember your settings across visits.

Austin That is perfect. Like I said, I can resize on the Mac. But I figured I’d mention it for “other young people” with old eyes who can’t. This works perfectly.
