Hey, everyone! I’m looking to match the seasoning of Kirkland Brats for an unusual purpose. My daughter made bread yesterday using Kirkland Brats IN THE BREAD. She put it into her bread machine, which broke the brats up into tiny bits. The result was a delicious herb bread. Wowzah!

I want to make a bread with that seasoning but without the meat. Anyone here have a suggestion as to which Walton’s brat seasoning I should start experimenting with?

    THANK YOU for your time!

Alice Interesting, I found the below, it says MSG so Im not sure if that is the same one or not? If it is the thing that will help you the most if that lemon oil. Chicago Brat would be the closest match with Salt, Spices, Dextrose, Spice Extractives, Lemon Oil. Don’t let the sodium phosphate or diacetate worry you either. Those would bot be additives that were introduced during the mixing stage and not necessary for any flavoring. Another good option would be the Blue Ribbon Brat though I don’t think that will match what you are looking for as well.

Jonathan, I cannot thank you enough! How kind you are! I thought if I was lucky, I’d get a response in a month!

        I’ll buy both!

Austin ? AUSTIN?? A whole CITY? Holy smokes! You have a CITY behind you? Granted, it’s far from the biggest city, but I’ll take Austin over Houston ANY day. And it’s not so humid.

I have to say, I’m just a bit cowed that you have an entire city behind you, Jonathon. I pretty much have my 99 y.o. dad and my husband. And a couple of cats, but they seem just a bit apathetic sometimes. And I gotta say, that’s a real confidence killer.

Alice Cats are sort of known for being indifferent most of the time so don’t take it too personally. My wife’s cat acted like I didn’t exist for the first few years after I met him.

Jonathon So, did you get a new wife or a new cat? Just joking! When I was at NASA, there was a buy, sell, trade board people put items on. One day a woman posted a picture of her cat and her husband. Big lettering stating ONE HAS GOT TO GO! Said for those interested, to take their choice.

Chef LOL 'I imagine NASA was an interesting place to work? No, cat was 26 lb mancoon mix and a pain in the butt, but I did grow pretty attached to him there near the end.
