Website Anomalies

Something strange is going on. I just posted a few photos with descriptions & comments on “What Did You Cook Today” It looked like the photos & comments loaded perfectly & then submitted perfectly. Then all of the sudden “Poof”, they were gone. Then the site will suddenly not allow me to see anything or do anything. Tried re-booting, to no avail.

Just watched the podcast and went to reply and it didn’t work. This was on a laptop. Tried it from my phone and it worked.

PapaSop Yeah, the hosting company is aware of this and hopefully is trying to fix it

Jonathon, I hope you are able to get things back to normal soon. It looks like everybody is making things work & on my end the same, I am making it work. However, the website operation & views are definitely not the same. I do all this from a desktop office PC.

Wow. Lots of issues here. Went to reply on a post from my laptop. Didn’t work. Trying phone now after a restart. We’ll see. Has a virus slipped into Meatgistics?

It’s the Corona Business! Blame it on the Corona Business! My end (Desk top PC) still shows a definite difference for about the past week now. No photos most of the time, actual text mixed in with a lot of hieroglyphics & code looking stuff. Can sometimes get some of the photos to show by re-booting or re-freshing, but not always, all the time. Heck of time getting photos & new posts to take. The system seems to not take it, but sometimes I think it does, I just do not see it until I re-boot or at least re-fresh, & then sometimes it still does not work or I will have to load the post separately from the text.

PapaSop Yeah, the hosting company doesn’t know what is causing it, definitely frustrating though and we are doing everything we can to figure it out, we promise!

PapaSop Not 100% we are in the clear but I’ve tried 2 different browsers and logged in and logged out and I am not seeing any of the nasty HTML!

Jonathon Yeah, I’m still getting it, too. A refresh solves just about all the problems. The one thing I still can’t do (refresh or not) is reply in any way except via the quick reply box.

None of this is the end of the world, of course. Somehow, I bet we all survive until this is figured out.

TexLaw I am also now unable to use the reply button at the bottom, have to do the post quick reply. Refresh does fix it temporarily, if you use Chrome you can hit ctrl+Shift and the N key and an incognito browser opens…as I type this my “fix” stopped working and I;m now seeing it even in incognito.

So, seems like most people are okay. If you are still seeing issues try clearing your cookies. I did that am was still having issues with chrome so I did something I swore I would never do and am logged in under Microsoft Edge! Seems to be working fine so for anyone who is still seeing issues with chrome after you clear your cookies try Edge…feels shameful to say that!
