erich52 It didn’t upload! Email it to me at jonathon@waltonsinc.com and I will upload it or choose a smaller image size when posting from a phone. Also, I have to say I am loving this post! I hope others are receiving the same good feeling of excitement (which seems rare these days!) when they see an alert that it has been updated!

BTW. Thank you for all those years. Without that industry everything stops.

My Company (aluminum foundry) has been deemed essential due to making parts for military, medical, agricultural, etc. My guys are still making a good living but feel bad for all the restaurants and bars. My family is eating out (carry out) more than before the shutdown to help out. I am buying 150 guys in the shop lunch today from local places to help a little. Hope we can get back to business as usual quickly without too much damage to health or economy!

Brianh Way to support local business! I know how you feel regarding restaurants and bars. We continue to stay open while dozens of our industry friends are without jobs. Today at the shop we are hosting an industry employee and helping to make meatloaves for those in the industry needing an extra meal.

Joe Hell Went so well today, we scheduled another lunch from a different local pub for next Thursday. Feels good to give our guys a little benefit and help out the local restaurants. Virus in Illinois is ramping up but it’s 99% Chicago which is 3 hours north of us. Our county only has 5 cases and has been pretty stable, hope it stays that way.

Brianh I called my local Y to make sure they were still charging me in the hopes it means employees will still get paid and they weren’t. I had them switch me to a “sustaining member” or something where they continue to bill during downtimes like this…not that there has been downtimes like this before. But, I’m lucky enough to still have a job and want to keep contributing to good places!

craigrice Yup, I’m worried things won’t be the same. However, I DO feel a little “post 9/11 love” for my fellow Americans and I see it more when I’m out and about and that’s a great thing. I am also talking to my family a lot more than I was and old friends, if something good comes of this I think it will be those types of things and maybe this will get us prepared if we ever see something awful like an airborne Ebola.

a family should eat a meal together every night, without this the children become raised by the system and not instilled with the morals and ideals, and guidance of the parents as to what they should be and do in life, maybe this is Gods way of telling us to slow down regroup and get our priority’s right to what they should be instead of the fast pace life we think we need to live

Our local HEB has plenty of meat now, for awhile they were limiting everybody. But TP is still hard to get along with dried item like beans etc… But with 4 deer in freezer, hogs, quail, ducks, pheasant we seems to be doing very well, oh and red snapper in freezer. Like I said we are blessed to only have 2 cases of Covid-19, one is on the air force base and the other was a guy who came back from NY. Stay safe y’all and do not fear.
